Dr. Dilbar A. Saeed is a Medical Doctor (MBBS) and MBA (Marketing) with more than 25 years of diversified experience in Health Care and Pharmaceutical industry, including Marketing, Business Development, Medical Affairs, and Clinical Research functions combined with an in-depth knowledge of the industry and prescribers’ behavior. In addition to his professional commitments, he is actively involved in Community Services & Academic teaching / training including Andragogy.
Dr. Saeed graduated from Sindh Medical College, Karachi in 1995-96 and completed his house job at Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Center. He has done his Post Graduation in Masters of Business Administration in Marketing from Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi.
After completing house job, he joined Fatima Jinnah Dental College as Faculty for Basic Health Sciences. He commenced his Pharmaceutical career with Hoechst Marion Roussel (later became) Aventis Pharma in 1999 as Clinical Research Associate, where he was instrumental in conducting Phase III B Double Blind Clinical Trials and Phase IV Post Marketing Clinical Studies in Pakistan. His journey of Pharma industry continues from Allergan Pharma to Pfizer, Global Pharma UAE, Sanofi and Sante Private Ltd where he served as Business Development Manager. Later he joined Abbott Laboratories in 2015 and worked there as Head of Business Development till 2018.
He is currently serving as Deputy Medical Superintendent at Fatimiyah Hospital, which is a 133 bedded Secondary Care Hospital located in the heart of the city. His passion for Medical Education inspires him to work at renowned Health Management Institutions including College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP), Ziauddin Medical University (ZMU), and Institute of Business and Management (IoBM) as a visiting faculty. Previously he was also associated with Institute of Business Administration (IBA), and Iqra University (IU).
He is a staunch supporter of female education in Pakistan. His passion is andragogy including theory and practice, where he strives to bring a positive change in human behavior. To date, he has trained 1400+ individuals in different sessions.
